i LOVE birthdays !

and consequently, i love wrapping ! i collect editorials and pieces of paper i love (i'm strange like that) and when the occasion calls, bust out my portfolio of papers and get to the color-coding, pairing and folding. consequently, i LOVE when someone purchases a birthday gift from Shop Reclaimed; i have a heyday !

our newest customer Kelsey just ordered the "Jayden" bracelet for her friend Jada's birthday (how perfect is that ?) so we chose some simple blue and brown wrapping to compliment the earthy style of the gift. the paper is from a fierce fashion editorial magazine my dad brought back for me from Tahiti. 

i've kept the pages stashed away for the past couple years, dripping them out slowly over the course of a christmas or two, and maybe a birthday. this particular page was so beautiful i felt that it was just perfect for the gift ! the book pages are from a vintage book my sister's making into a jewelry box. we're a crafty bunch. ;]

beautiful found treasures from a foray to the rose bowl

my sister and i went on a re-stocking spree recently and decided that it would be in our best interests to hit up the mysterious Rose Bowl we'd always heard so much about. well, it's as cool as everyone says it is ! picture hundreds and hundreds of vendors hawking vintage and modern  wares as far as the eye can see. you'll find everything there from a to z !
what can i say ? i was in heaven ! 
we stocked up on supplies of course; the obligatory lengths of vintage chain, the odd pendant or two and all the jewelry findings we could get our hands on (they don't make them like they used to), but we stumbled into a tent just bursting from the seams with rings and i couldn't resist bringing one -- ok, five -- home for our inventory.
